In years when scholarship funding was available, there were two student intakes each year as follows
Projects
Each June, CDx research staff were invited to submit new postgraduate
project proposals. Student projects must be designed to remain
viable even if mainstream CDx research programs experience changes
in direction and/or funding. Postgraduate projects also must
satisfy all requirements for endorsement by the appropriate
university research management committee.
Project proposals were ranked by the Strategic
Management Group according to both the scientific and
strategic merit of the projects. The best projects were advertised
from August on this site and in national print media.
Applicants
From April, postgraduate students who had been successful in
securing university APA scholarships and who had commenced
or are about to commence a research project with a diagnostics
component could apply to the CDx for a CDxPRA scholarship top-up.
Applications were considered by the CDx Strategic
Management Group for top-up funding to commence by July

- Each November, the Stragegic Management Group reviewed

of their application in early December and must have accepted scholarship
